Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

Unscramble is designed to be as private as possible. This policy explains what information is (and is not) collected when you use this site.

Information we collect

The unscrambler itself collects nothing: there are no accounts and no sign-ups, and the letters you enter are processed entirely inside your browser. The word dictionary and the unscrambling algorithm run locally on your device, so the letters you type are never transmitted to us or to any server.

If you choose to send us a message through the Feedback page, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. We use this information only to reply to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing, and we never share or sell it to anyone.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised or contextual ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Third-party services

Fonts are served directly from this site's own hosting, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts when loading pages.

Messages submitted through the Feedback page are delivered to us by Resend, a third-party email service. Resend receives the name, email address, and message you submit, in line with its own Privacy Policy. The site itself is served by Cloudflare Pages.

Data security

Because the unscrambler never collects your searches, there is nothing to lose in a breach — your dictionary and letter searches remain on your own device. Feedback you send us travels over an encrypted connection and is used only to respond to your message.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
